Where to live
Bastrop neighborhoods
Seventeen Bastrop-area neighborhoods compared, from historic downtown streets to brand-new master plans and acreage in the pines.
"Which neighborhood should we look at?" is the first question almost everyone asks us. The honest answer depends on four things: your budget, how far you will drive to work, how much land you want, and whether you want new construction or an established street with big trees.
Here is how the main Bastrop-area neighborhoods compare. Prices for new construction come from builder listings in October 2026 and change often, so treat them as a starting point and ask us for current numbers and incentives.
